Biography

Taylor Beck signed 2-years deal with Metallurg.

He is a a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He started his career playing with Niagara Falls Thunder (SCTAMM, 2006/07), he debuted in the AHL with Milwaukee Admirals in the season 2010/11, in 2012/13 he made his NHL debut with Nashville Predators.

Beck was drafted by New York Rangers in the third round, 70th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Totally he played 92 games in the NHL: 85 with Nashville Predators, 2 with New York Islanders (with Nikolai Kulemin), 3 with Edmonton Oilers and 2 with New York Rangers. He scored 23 points (11+12). In the last three teams he didn’t score many points. After having spent most of the season 2016/17 in the AHL, Beck decided to reboot his career in the KHL.

He made his debut in Russia in the season 2017/18 with Avtomobilist. Later he continued to play with Kunlun Red Star, the he was traded to Avangard Omsk.

In 2007 Beck took part in the Canada national team and played 6 games in total. He played 3 times at the international Puchkov tournament in Saint Petersburg (2+1) and 3 games at the Channel One Cup.

He amassed 20 (4+16) points in 16 games in the playoff 2019/20 and was the best Avangar scorer in this season.

Totally in this season he played 62 games and scored 39 points (14+25), +/- rating is −8, 38 PIM, 23 hits, 25 BS and 16 fouls, ATOI 18:27 in the regular championship and 17:37 in the playoff.

Totally he played 175 games in the KHL and gained 117 (44+73) points, +/- rating is +4, 92 PIM, 79 hits, 58 BS and 44 fouls.
