Biography

Hockey school

HC Metallurg, Magnitogorsk

Kulemin made his debut in the season 2005/06 with Metallurg and was acknowledged as the best newcomer of the season. Already in the next season he scored 27 goals in 54 games, got awards Russian Super League MVP and Golden Stick.

In 2008 Nikolai headed to the NHL and joined first Toronto Maple Leaves, then moved to New York Islanders.

During the 2012/13 NHL lockout, he returned to the Metallurg Magnitogorsk, where he scored 38 (14+24) points in 36 games.

He played in one link with Malkin and Mozyakin.

After concluding his contract with New York Islanders, Kulemin left the NHL after 10 seasons to return to Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
